B-Battery 319th Glider Field Artillery - June 1945

Days preceding this photograph the 319th traveled from “Camp Chicago” at Marchais, France, by motor convoy and train arriving in Epinal, France on June 16, 1945 at 0830 hours. The men were assigned to new quarters and a hot meal was served at 1900.

The following day was spent with Sunday activities. They attended a training film at the post theater. Other camp duties involved checking organizational equipment and turning it in to the supply room.

The battery took a group photograph below on June 20, 1945. The weather was fair and morale good.

A name roster is not available at this time. Some officers and enlisted men who were absent sick, transferred or on furlough are not present.
