Days preceding this photo the 319th traveled from “Camp Chicago” at Marchais, France, arriving in Epinal, France on June 16, 1945. The men were assigned quarters in an old stable. They spent the next few days preparing for an ordinance inspection on the Howitzers and participating in the usual athletic program. The men also attended a training film and movie on Nazi atrocities.
