HQ-Battery 319th Field Artillery - June 1945
Epinal, France
Days preceding this photograph the 319th traveled from “Camp Chicago” at Marchais, France, arriving in Epinal, France on June 16, 1945. The men were assigned to new quarters and a hot meal was served at 1900.
The battery followed scheduled training during the day and Good Conduct Medals were issued on June 19, 1945.
Following usual activities the battery took the group photograph below on June 20, 1945. The weather was partly cloudy, warm and showers. A name roster is not available at this time. Some officers and enlisted men who were absent sick, transferred or on furlough are not present.
