Joseph Van Hall

.  I remember a Lt. Fitzgerald, a tall young man who was killed in our first combat mission in Italy.  He was up front and they all were subjected to heavy firing by the Germans and maybe some Italians who had not surrendered yet.  Van Hall was in this group and became shell-shocked and sent somewhere to a hospital.  I did see him later in Paris where he was an ambulance driver.
